Congrats on your progress Joey

I am so proud of Joey, and I'm sure you all are. He stayed up over 12 hours yesterday without laying down. He is walking alot now, and he is using the bedside commode. You have come a long way Joey!!!
However, I am a little sad that he doesn't need Kenny the Pooh much anymore :( LOL. Just kidding. You look good in those pajamas.
Keep up the great work Joey!!
Love you all!!

Recipes

Quick Mix
8 c. self-rising flour*
1.5 c. nonfat dry milk
1.5 c. shortening

Mix flour and dry mild in a large bowl. Cut shortening into flour mixture with 2 knives or a pastry blender (recommended) until mixture resembles small peas. Store the Quick Mix at room temperature in clean, dry jars or plastic containers with well-fitting lids. Keep tightly covered.

Servings: 12 to 14 cups

*If using all-purpose or plain flour, add 1/4 c. baking powder and 1 Tbls. salt.

Biscuits

2 c. Quick Mix*
1/3 c. water

Carefully stir water into mix to form a stiff dough that can be removed from mixing bowl in a single lump. Plane dough on lightly floured surface and knead briefly, using extra flour to keep dough from stiching to fingers or board. Pat or roll dough to half-inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter or drinking glass dipped in flour. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees F until light brown, 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 12 biscuits if thin, 6 if a little thicker (like mine).

My Piano Recital

Today was my piano recital. I was very nervous but it turned out really good. There were 32 students in it and I was last.
I have been taking now for almost 9 years. Now I'm sort of sad because next year will be my last recital ever!
Everyone have a GREAT day!

Love yall!

Relay for Life

Sandra has been cancer free for 5 years!!! That is wonderful. Lastnight was the first time I have ever participated in Relay for Life and it was a very moving experience. To see all of those survivors, some of them have been cancer free for 40 years. That to me is a miracle from God. Sandra, you are my Hero. I will walk 3 miles again for you anytime!!! Wish you all could have been there. I also walked in memory of Donald.
